Request to Take Online Courses
Are you interested in taking an online course? Please follow these steps:
- Contact your Counselor. There are three (3) online schools approved by TVUSD. Not every course at these schools is approved by TVUSD so work with your counselor to ensure you will get TVUSD credit.
TVUSD Approved Programs:
- BYU Independent Study - online learning. https://is.byu.edu Core academic subjects MUST be designated as Teacher Led (TL) courses. (NCAA Approved)
- Silicon Valley High School. https://svhs.co/ (NCAA Approved)
- Apex Learning Virtual School: https://www.apexlearningvs.com
- UC Scout Online Courses (premium plan only, through University of California) https://www.ucscout.org
Before taking any course, you must complete the Online Approval Form and submit to your counselor. Contact your counselor for the Online Approval Form. DO NOT enroll or pay for an online course until it has been approved by your counselor.
- Once you complete a course (semester 1 and semester 2), you must request the online school send transcripts to CHS Registrar, Ms Cleary. This can be sent via:
