Membership & Honor Cord Information

Membership criteria includes completion of four semesters of a social science, an overall 3.5 GPA or higher, and a minimum 3.25 GPA in social science courses. We are looking for applicants who not only demonstrate high academic achievement, but also civic engagement in the school or community and have a strong interest in the social sciences.

We send out invitations to qualified students twice a year. 

• Fall - 11th and 12th Grade Students

• Spring - 10th and 11th Grade Students
  
  

In order to be eligible to purchase an honor cord for graduation, the following criteria have been established:

• Membership in Rho Kappa for a minimum of one year.

• A total of 5 hours of social science related community service. This must be done through two different events/organizations.

• No more than 3 unexcused absences at club meetings.
