The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) is a leadership program designed to give students a head start.  Navy JROTC develops the self-discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills to help you successfully meet life’s challenges.  People who are successful in life, who succeed in business, industry, and education, have developed strong self-discipline, the ability to lead and motivate others, and a well-rounded character.  The Navy JROTC curriculum and instructional activities are designed to develop your leadership ability regardless of your career path.

High School NJROTC does not have a military obligation

Purpose and Objectives of Chaparral Navy JROTC:
The purpose of the Navy JROTC program is to instill in High School students the values of citizenship, community, state, and Country. As well as personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Specific objectives include:

bulletTo promote patriotism.
bulletTo develop informed and responsible citizens.
bulletTo promote habits of orderliness and precision and to develope respect for constituted authority.
bulletTo develop a high degree of personal honor, self reliance, individual discipline, and leadership.
bulletTo promote an understanding of basic elements and requirements for national security.
bulletTo develop leadership potential.
bulletTo provide incentives to live healthy and drug free lives.

Educational Paths:
Assistance with ROTC Scholarships to 4 year Universities
Selection/application to Military Academies, leading to a Commission for
Military career as well, advice on enlisted military careers

Our Mission

To instill in the Cadets the highest standards of decorum and discipline, promote commitment and dedication to all the various teams and the unit as a whole, provide mutual respect between cadets and for themselves and foster pride for the unit, the Commander in Chief, the armed services, and the United States of America.
