What does detention look like at CHS?

 

Why are detentions assigned?

  • Tardies - Greater than 5 and any tardy after that.

  • Tardy Sweep - 30 minutes of detention no matter total number of detention

  • Behavior - As part of our progressive discipline policy


 

ALL DETENTION ASSIGNMENTS ARE TRACKED IN INFINITE CAMPUS. ANY STUDENT WITH UNFULFILLED DETENTION TIME WILL BE PLACED ON THE NO GO LIST.

 

How can detentions be fulfilled?

Lunch Detention

30 minutes

In room 261 at lunch Tues-Fri

Campus Beautification

30 minutes (double time given in IC)

With parent permission only.

 

Wednesdays after school from 2:45 - 3:15. Check in at the front office.

Saturday School

4 hours

If your student has received multiple detentions, they may clear 4 hours by attending a Saturday School.
