For our College Bound Student Athletes

Do you feel you have what it takes to be a college athlete? Do you dream of playing in NCAA Division I or Division II athletics?

You will need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. You can do this the beginning of your sophomore year at the following link:

Here you will learn about what "Core Courses" you will need. "Grade Point Average" as well as "Test Score" requirements. It is your resposibility to register with the NCAA, take the SAT or ACT, and meet with your school counselor.

Congratulations to the following athletes and their teams:

Swim: The 1st girls to ever go to the State Finals.
Megan Kelley, Kyla Cooper, Lauren Wood & Madison Frederick, placed 16th in State
Madison Frederick placed 13th in the 200 Free
Lauren Wood placed 10th in the 100 Breastroke

Track & Field: Medalists Amanda Rosilez & Connor Edwards.
Amanda Rosilez finshed 5th in the discus & Connor Edwards was 6th in the 400.
Megan Wesel scored points for the Pumas in the shot put.
Amanda Rosilez also qualified for the Masters Meet on Friday 5/29!

All returning tennis players (boys & girls), and those interested in being a part of Puma Tennis, there is a meeting at lunch in room 517 on THURSDAY (5/28). Come and met the NEW coach, find out about summer camps and the new Puma Tennis program.

David Reisinger - Assistant Principal for Athletics
 
Mr. Reisinger joined the Chaparral staff in February, 2015. Mr. Reisinger comes to Chaparral from Valley View High School in Moreno Valley. His teaching and administrative experience is extensive. He has taught primarily in the fields of Math and Science. Mr. Reisinger's administrative experience includes Principal of Alternative Education, Summer School Principal, Athletic Director, and Assistant Principal supervising Special Education, Guidance, Math, Social Science, and Physical Education. Mr. Reisinger holds teaching credentials for NCLB Authorizations in Mathematics and Life Science and a Professional Clear Single Subject - Physical Education.  His coaching experience includes Varsity Football Head Coach and Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach.
