Gil Compton
Mr. Gil Compton is starting his fourth year at Chaparral. He joined the Chaparral staff in June 2009 after serving in the Menifee Union School District as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services, and Principal of Menifee Valley Middle School. Mr. Compton began his educational career teaching at Murrieta Valley High School then served as Assistant Principal at Shivela Middle and Murrieta Valley High Schools.
Mr. Compton received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University and his Masters in Education Administration and Administrative Services Credential from the University of California, Riverside. Prior to entering education, Mr. Compton served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.

Penny Kubly
Mrs. Kubly joined the Chaparral staff as Co-Principal this year. She has worked in the Temecula Valley Unified School District since 1997, serving as the Principal of Vail Elementary School until 2004 when she opened Alamos Elementary School. Prior to 1997, she was an Assistant Principal in Murrieta Valley Unified School District and also taught in K-12 classrooms in Indiana, Ohio and California.
Mrs. Kubly received her Bachelor of Science in American History & Sociology from Ball State University in Indiana. She received her Master of Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, and her Administrative Services Credential from the University of California, Riverside.
